Here are a few of my recent purchases from Aloha Rag... ! I finally got the Martin Margiela Twisted Sandals. The leather is buttery soft and easy to pull on. The sole starts out a little slippery, so be careful when you walk down slopey streets! After a few wears, mine are perfect!!!
I also got the half sleeve sweater and shorts by 3.1 Phillip Lim. He is one of my favorite designers we carry, and the sweater is the best item to put on in chilly rainy weather.
Last but not least, I bought the 3.1 Phillip Lim shirt dress! Can you see it in the reflection? HATAKE is the Italian restaurant in Omote Sando. Stop by when you have a chance!
Aloha Rag Hawaii store was featured by Ginza Magazine January 2011 Issue in "Return to HAWAII". It is interesting to see how Sonia Park, famous fashion stylist, introduced Hawaii in her own point of view. The issue is on news stands now. I think it's a good read if you have plan to go to Hawaii on vacation for the holidays.
In Sonia's guide, "Drive to Manoa", the Manoa Falls were featured. Because of that article, I hiked the trail up to the waterfall for the first time. Walking through the green woods to the falls was really ttherapeutic, it made me very happy inside. (But... it was not a very good idea to go with Margiela boots and a dress on. It's rough ground, you will need hiking shoes for sure.) I strongly recommend this place when you are in Hawaii!!
I purchased LANVIN AMALIA BAG
I totally fell in love with my new bag, especially the chains on the bag. The leather is so soft to touch, and not only that... there are many pockets for a subway card, a cell phone, and also have another zipped pocket inside. I am so happy to have my new Amalia bag, that I came to our office an hour earlier today!!!

As matter fact, she carries her puppy "Hime" in her GG bag sometimes

Ithe BVLGARI CAFE
Here is my report of the BVLGARI CAFE to you! As Mr.Y told you before, we had crazy busy schedule during our buying trip, We flied from NY and went to fashion exhibition straight from Milan Airport. Well... it was not my plan, so I was wearing a CURRENT/ELLIOTT Boyfriend Denim and a ROGAN Tee with a pair of flip flops.... totally ALOHA STYLE... I was afraid that they don't let me in the exhibition show... Fortunately, it was no problem at all!
We only stayed one night in Milan, so next morning we had appointments with Neil Barrett and Jil Sander, and then to Paris.... running around from one to the other... we hardly make a time for meals. Finally we had a moment for our lunch @ the BVLGARI CAFE I had a Organic Salad with their own balsamic vinegar!!! OH......... BUONO
After all... we flied to Paris.
A Japanese magazine called ViVi July 09 issue had an article about Hawaii, and YES we are in it, too
They introduced us as a store that carries Thomas Wylde and Lanvin, and of course Balenciaga as well. ALOHA RAG is the official store for Balenciaga, and many stylish fashion people visit us from Japan and purchase Baleciaga ! It's new Trend in Japan.
And new items will arrive at our store very soon. so please look forward to them!I
On the way back to my home, I went to farmer's market there. I found a lettuce called Manoa. Manoa is also the name of town that I used to live in Hawaii before. I was not afford to buy Margiela items, but I am very happy for my lettus today!

As you know we carry GIVENCHY in our Hawaii Store and guess what? We will start to carry them at our online boutique also! And more great news to you, we will start carrying Men's accessories starting F/W '09-'10
Of course can't forget about Balenciaga. Many new colors will be coming next season! I can't tell you exactly which colors will come next season, but I know that you will love them so much!
We visited KITSUNE today. His new collection is also very nice and Mr.Y made his personal order there as well.

Our F/W 2009 buying tour has been continuing... starting from New York, Milan and Paris and it's been constantly raining... But finally we had sunshine today! I love Paris, rain or shine.... no matter what Paris is just so beautiful
We had an appointment with Martin Margiela showroom today. As you know everybody loves Martin Margiela even the First lady. I have a problem again that I can't make up my mind which items to get this year...
We just finished our buying appointments in Milan, and it's my first time trip there! I surely enjoyed the new collections!! Not only that I had REAL Italian food there!!!
I was so impressed with Jil Sander and Neil Barret collections, totally more than I expected.

Part of our spring & summer collection has arrived in our stores. I still can't make up my mind on which items I would like to have for myself this year.... It has been so cold in Tokyo, but I keep myself warm with all my lovely clothing that I purchased from our last collection.
These Ox figurings came from Ise shrine, aren't they cute? One of them is a Ox shaped cookie with chocolate cream. I had one already and it was so good....
but I left the rest for my happy new year!
