Over the past few seasons, Junya Watanabe has continuously collaborated with England's traditional shoe makers, Tricker's. These shoes came from the SS12 collection, and are perfectly in the middle of dressy and rugged, maintaining the perfect balance of elegance and masculinity! Style.com just put out a great feature The Cult of Comme, which showcases 12 of the line's most devoted fan's with some of their favorite pieces. It is fascinating to see the various styles and looks worn by her fans, from the more subtle to the very avant garde. A friend of mine was even featured with some of her amazing pieces that have a permanent home in her closet!
Rei Kawakubo is truly a genius and one of my favorite designers, and I was fortunate enough to meet her years ago. I have such appreciation for her business acumen, creativity and willingness to not conform or follow trends.

A Few weeks ago when we shot the Summer Jewelry feature, we stopped by Milk & Cookies Bakery on Commerce Street. It is located on a beautiful block full of brownstones, on a bit of a hidden street in the West Village. They have all the classic cookie flavors that you can think of, and my favorite is the simple sugar cookie. They really capture that nostalgic homemade taste! We've tried their Chocolate Chip cookies and they are delicious too... Highly recommended!

Wayfarer sunglasses are synonymous with The Blues Brothers to me. It is one of my favorite movies since I was a kid, and I have watched it over and over again. I even recorded the songs from TV speakers to casette tape and listen to it in my car stereo when I was younger. This scene, starring the great Ray Charles is one of the best scenes (and my favorite) in a timeless movie with such an amazing cast. Enjoy!
